This thread makes me recall the good ole days of Civ IV when cities themselves had they're own happiness and if you took over other civs you had a population of mainly people from the conquered civ that would "yearn to join with their mother land".
To avoid that unhappiness I'd purposely starve the cities down to 1 then let them grow again only now filled with Germans. My friends called it genocide, I called it good planning for the future. They have two uses: They can be placed inside a city to protect it from Missionaries and Prophets trying to Spread other religions into that city.
This works by severely diminishing the power of the Spread Religion action of these units, effectively preventing a more serious conversion.
Taliseian , Sep 30, Already tried that. It uninstalls for about three seconds with no message. It then validates almost instantly stating it was successful. Nothing seems to actually uninstall. No option in Steam to redownload. I am sorry to be asking this here but I signed up with the Steam forums hours ago and still cannot post there as I am in the queue for approval..
OgreMonk , Sep 30, I had trouble with the patch not installing stayed in synching mode for days and it turned out to be an orphan Steam process hidden in the task bar tray.
I shut down all Steam processes and then restarted the client, and it kicked right in and completed the update. Not sure that will be it, but certainly worth a try.
