Kodak retinette type 022 manual

I enjoyed this presentation Louis. The pictures are very nice as always and it seems the camera performed quite nicely.

I also like this one because I have a fondness for Retinettes. All of our family pictures were taken on my dad's Retinette IA when we were growing up and that was the first camera I really knew anything about. Dad still has his and he gets it down off of the shelf now and then to work out the shutter a little, but he doesn't put film through it anymore.

I'm hoping to talk him into letting me have it. Anyway, great series as always. Congratulations on the Camera! Perhaps, he inspired you as you say he is a photographer. I have observed that even seasoned classical musicians perform with great diligence when the audience is full of their peers! Thanks for the post, regards, sp. Wonderful presentation, Louis, Very enjoyable. The Retinette is a nice performer, even if it is not exactly to your taste.

In the hands of a skilled photographer the type of camera doesn't matter. Will you be showing the results to your neighbor? At one time I owned a Retina S1 with the same lens but not the Compur shutter. It was capable of some good results also although rather klutzy in some features. Very nice set from such a basic camera. I would be very happy with these and it just goes to show you don't always need the full set of whistles and bells in more sophisticated and often much heavier equipment to get great results.

Andy- Thanks for your kind and generous feedback and for recounting the story of your Dad's camera. SP- I agree. So much of my photography is a solitary enterprise, sometimes it's nice to shoot with like-minded friends. Rick- Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. I happy to have given this a test drive if only to see how it works and how the lens draws. Yes, I sent her a link to this posting.

Charles- Shooting with the aux rangefinder and tranfering the information to the lens is rather slow but I'd bet if it was all I had I'd get faster with it.

Steve- Yes! Plain and simple operation is one of the reasons I'm drawn to classic cameras. This little triplet lens did surprise me. Louis, It's a keeper. Most of your shots are better than the ones I see coming out of the Leica forum. Best, LM. LenMarriott , Jul 24, Enjoyable post. Thanks for sharing. Nice presentation! I think the little triplet performed super and shows it's really a versatile lens.

What SP said was right on nd you rose to the challenge. Wes was a great subject and I think those and the statue shot wre really good! Great camera, Great photos! Len- Comparing these pics to those made with a Leica is high praise indeed, thank you. Just for the record is anyone wants to trade a Leica for this I might be be open to a swap, LOL Stuart- Thanks for stopping by and taking a moment to look and comment. Chuck- Your good feedback, insights and encouragement are very much appreciated.

Starvy- Yes, I like that shot of the Moore as well. His sculptures are wonderful forms that can be appreciated from many different angles and look different during the changing seasons.
