It need to give a visual steady beat and it would be great if it could detect my pace and give it back to me. Would this work for that? Hi Joanne, thanks for the comment! Beat Mirror is all about tempo detection, so it definitely fits the bill for the second part of your message detecting your tempo.

Will the app also be able to output the currently detected bpm as a midi clock signal, so I can use this as a midi clock for arpeggiators? Thanks for the comment! Hello, just one missing feature, are you planing to implement MIDI output?

It takes deeper listening to melodic phrasing, rhythm, etc. BPM can be used to measure heartbeats per minute too. You can count the number out by tapping along with your pulse for a few seconds. Or if you really want to get accurate, try counting out for 15 seconds or even a full minute. For the record, a resting heart rate between 60 and bpm is considered normal.
Although there are people who fall outside this range who are also totally fine. Of course, when in doubt, the doctor knows best. Or maybe even just emulate or take apart for creative purposes. A metronome, or click track, counts beats per measure at a regulated pulse.
